Direct debit agreement
Direct debit agreement
A direct debit or collection agreement is required so that card payments can be properly collected and cleared via your bank. This agreement enables your bank to process the card payments received from your authorized business account and credit them to your account.
Important note:
Without a direct debit agreement, card payments from your checkout will not be accepted by the bank and therefore cannot be debited or credited to your account.
Conversion to the SEPA standard:
In the past, data transmission in payment transactions was based on the DTA or DTAUS standard, but this was finally replaced by the SEPA Card Clearing (SCC) procedure on February 1, 2016. This changeover took place as part of the harmonization of the European payments area (SEPA) and ensures uniform and secure payment processing in Europe.
Your advantages with a direct debit agreement:
- Automatic clearing of your card payments without manual effort
- Secure and reliable processing in accordance with the current SEPA guidelines
- Smooth payment flow to avoid liquidity bottlenecks
