To enable your bank to process card payments, your business account, authorized for electronic payment transactions, must be configured for card transaction settlements. For this purpose, the bank enters into a direct debit or collection agreement with you. Without this agreement, card payments (cash cut) cannot be processed, collected, or credited to your account.
Previously, data transfer for such transactions followed the DTA or DTAUS standard. However, as of February 1, 2016, this method was discontinued and replaced by the SEPA Card Clearing (SCC) procedure. SCC is part of the standardization of the European payment area under the SEPA framework.
